Overview of Application Process

OUR APPLICATION WILL BE ONLINE SHORTLY!

In order to be part of the OTZMA program one must complete an application and participate in both a committee and psycho-social interview conducted by volunteer and professional leaders within the local Jewish community. Applicants may also be contacted beforehand by our New York staff for an initial phone conversation.

Once your application is complete, the OTZMA national office will begin to process your application. As a result, each applicant will be processed individually and timing will be dependent on when the application becomes complete, along with the interview schedule of the local federation.

Details regarding the application process are outlined below.

Step 1: Applicant submits completed application to the OTZMA National Office

Step 2: OTZMA National Office conducts an initial phone conversation

Step 3: Application gets sent on to the local federation

Step 4: Local federation conducts a committee interview

Step 5: Psycho-social interview is conducted

Step 6: Federation reports are submitted to the OTZMA National Office

Step 7: The OTZMA National Office will give the applicant a final answer within 2 weeks of receiving all reports. This letter will be sent out first via email, followed by a hard copy in the mail.
